Phil & Lyndall Bywater
Phil and Lyndall live in Canterbury. Phil works part-time as accountant for Revival Fire Ministries, the organisation which runs the Christian Conference every year at Detling show-ground in Kent, and is part of the leadership of the evening service in his local Anglican church.
Lyndall is The Salvation Army's UK Prayer Co-ordinator and also co-ordinates two other national projects which are helping to resource and train people to a deeper understanding of prayer. The first is a national network of intercessors, which currently numbers around 800 but which is growing by the week. The problem is that at present it's only a database. The challenge is to grow it into a living, breathing, praying network of spirit-led intercessors! The other project is an annual conference, called the Prayer Warfare Weekend, at which the delegates receive teaching on the basics of prayer, spiritual warfare and intercession. Currently she is involved in helping shape the UK prayer strategy for the 2012 Olympic Games and she is also part of a team who have started the Boiler Room in Canterbury. A place of prayer and a rhythm of prayerful living which they pray will affect the whole area.
