Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper is a qualified teacher. She spent the year 1994-5 in Bristol on a School of Frontier Missions, with Youth With A Mission, after which she left her home town of Canterbury, Kent, to live and work with the Church in N. India for two years. On returning to the UK Alice went to All Nations Christian College from 1998-2000, during which time she had a placement at Christchurch Spitalfields, E. London. She was invited by the Church to stay and work full time as a Community Worker with the Asian Community, which she has done from 2000 until now.
Her job includes running a Childrens' Club and a teenage girls' club, and building bridges into the Community, in particular with the Bengali people in the area. She does this by regular visiting and encouraging others in the Church to be involved with the Community in practical ways such as helping with homework, informal English tuition, DIY etc. Alice is on the staff of Christchurch and is involved with the Worship Group as she is a gifted musician and singer. She also is involved in training people in cross-cultural communications.
