Steve & Jo Henwood

Steve & Jo HenwoodSteve and Jo met at Christ Church College in Canterbury where they were training to be teachers. In 2000 they moved to Epsom for Steve to begin working full-time for The King's Church as a children's worker.

It continues to be their ambition to raise up generations who know the Lord and what He has done, seeing God transforming young lives into the people He desires. Steve has led the 8-11s at Spring Harvest for several years and also provides training and consultancy for other churches and children's leaders and is a regional trainer for the popular Bible Explorer schools programme (a curriculum based version of the Walk-thru the bible).

Steve and Jo, with their two daughters Katie and Bethany, moved on from Epsom in the summer of 2009 to Dorking. Steve is now working for St Pauls Anglican church as the children's and youth minister. He has started a Worship Academy, and is looking to integrate the children's work with increased family involvement.

In the last couple of years Jo has trained as a musical and vocal consultant for primary schools with the Voices Foundation, she is still continuing her work from Dorking and hopes to start building connections with the local schools.

KIDZ TIDE

Steve and his colleague Pip have been working for some years on a Discipleship program for children, which runs alongside the adult TIDE program run by Firelighters. This is a holistic approach to discipling children and building a generation of young people who are serious about their life in God. Steve hopes that this course will be published shortly and used in many churches to make young disciples.
