The Trustees are:
Nick is Co-Founder and Leader of Firelighters with Grace his wife and is also Chair of the Trustees. Nick was a solicitor and ran his own firm in Bath for a number of years. He and Grace have one daughter, a grandson and a granddaughter! He loves to lead worship wherever possible.
Rhodesian born and educated, Martin ran his own legal practice in Canterbury for 20 years, and has recently retired as a Consultant property solicitor.
Martin is a churchwarden and Reader with St Mary Bredin Church in Canterbury, where he has worshipped since 1980, and gets involved with the Alpha Course whenever possible.
Gail was born and brought up in Zambia and Rhodesia.
She and Martin have three adult children and a grandson. Gail taught English and Drama until she retired in 2013. A member of a Lydia prayer cell in Canterbury, she is involved in prayer ministry and the Alpha Course in her local church.
Many of the mission partners are well known to Martin and Gail, through their Canterbury connections.
Rupert is married to Caroline and they have three daughters and one son. Rupert currently works with L’Arche Kent, based in Canterbury, involved with the support of adults with learning disabilities.
Previously he worked for twelve years as a teacher at an immigration centre in the UK and before that in Papua New Guinea and Nepal in overseas mission and rural development.
He has a long history with Nick and Grace being part of the “18-25” group in the ‘90s and then pastoral assistant at St. Mary Bredin. Rupert and Caroline are actively involved in a local church in Dover.
