Nick & Heather Ratcliffe
Nick and Heather lived in a small village called Old Wives Lees, near Canterbury, for twelve years with their family of five girls now all grown up.
After years of both Nick and Heather running a variety of church activities and outreaches, in 2012, while still doing his day-job, Nick was ordained as a Non Stipendiary Minister in the Church of England and started three years of curacy in the neighbouring village of Chartham.
In September 2015 Nick and Heather moved to the seaside town of Margate where Nick took up the full time post of Associate Minister at St Paul’s Church in Cliftonville. Heather continues to work with early years children and runs parenting courses and ante-natal courses for prospective parents.
The parish of Cliftonville is one of the poorest in England and the church engages the community with open-church three mornings a week and a weekly café style event on Wednesday evenings called Ignite. The church has felt called to take the gospel out on to the streets and open spaces in the parish and to connect with people where they are.

Please pray for Nick and Heather to adjust to their new surroundings, to discern ways of working together, and to use their skills in supporting the work of the church and the community they are now a part of.
